Preparation

Remove any loose and flaking material then fill holes and cracks with an appropriate filler. Glossy surfaces should be sanded to provide a key. Given the high quality of this formulation, the paint can be thinned if required by adding up to 10% water for the first coat only. This is particularly recommended for porous surfaces. If your room has been newly renovated, please read our advice 'Tips for painting on a freshly plastered wall'.

Application

Stir well before use. Always check a small area first as we cannot accept any responsibility for colour discrepancy that may arise after use. Apply one or more coats as required using a paintbrush, paint pad or roller. Avoid spreading the paint too thinly and avoid reworking areas that are still wet. An extra coat may be required to cover strong or contrasting colours. Do not apply in damp or cold conditions below 10°C.

Job done!

Touch dry in 1-2 hours. Recoatable in 2-4 hours. Replace lid firmly to ensure an airtight seal. Remove as much paint as possible from decorating tools before cleaning in warm soapy water, then rinse and dry thoroughly. Do not empty surplus paint into drains and watercourses - most local authorities will have special facilities for the disposal of waste coatings and paint, contact them for details.

Cleaning and aftercare

Allow to dry for at least 7 days after application before wiping the surface. Clean painted surface with a soft cloth and clean soapy water.

Preparation

The substrate must be sound, dry and free from oil and grease. Cleaning should be carried out with liquid detergent solution, rinsed with clean water and allowed to dry. Surfaces which are contaminated with lichen or moss should be brushed clean, treated with Anti-Fungal Wash and allowed to dry. Timber, metal, and glossy or non-porous surfaces should be rubbed down with abrasive paper prior to application to provide a key.

Application

For best results apply to a touch dry surface, and at temperatures between 10°C to 32°C. Stir well before use. Always check a small area first as we cannot accept any responsibility for colour discrepancy that may arise after use. Apply by brush or roller. No primer or undercoat is necessary unless used on ferrous metal or where staining could occur. For very porous substrates, thin the first coat with 30% water. Ensure good ventilation during application.

Job done!

Touch dry very quickly, 20 mins or so on a warm day. Normally recoatable after 4 hours (if required). Optimum hardness is reached after 2 weeks. Ensure good ventilation during drying.

Cleaning and aftercare

Clean painted surface with a soft cloth and clean soapy water.
